Less than five minutes from the Milford Hotel is Sherburn in Elmet. Sherburn is now the home of a major international industrial site for companies such as Sainbury's, Debenhams, Sala International to name but a few.
Sherburn in Elmet is also known by bikers the world over for 'Squires Cafe Bar'. This biker's cafe, located between Sherburn and the Milford Hotel, is open all year round regularly gets up to 10,000 visitors every week during the summer. The cafe was first established in 1954 and holds several events through out the year.

Just on the edge of Sherburn in Elmet village is an airfield from which light aircraft and helicopters operate from for business and private use.
